Walk description
Reputed to be one of the best woods for bluebells in the area, with a wide variety of native tree species in an ancient woodland.
This walk, of four miles, will be around the Bluebell Wood and Court Hill, the latter providing good views of the surrounding countryside. The walk is on good defined paths and some short areas of grassland.
Dependent on the weather some of the paths may have some boggy areas.
This is a very popular walk at this time of year. There is a well ordered parking area but it does get busy so car sharing is a good idea.
Bring a snack with you but it is hoped that this enjoyable walk will be followed by a coffee at Stewart’s ice cream cafe. (Or ice cream, of course.)
There are loads of links to Kinclaven Woods online.
Please let Max know if you hope to come on this walk.
