In Pathfoot C1/2 Helen Ross will describe how she became involved in the Spacelab programme, believing it would be cheap and simple to run an experiment on the perception of mass when weightless. The work actually occupied over 10 years, involved travel to many places in the USA and Europe, participation in parabolic flights and the human centrifuge, and the training of astronauts.
