Christmas Walk - Lady Mary's Walk and Laggan Hill

Friday 11 December - 10:30am
The walk will start from The Famous Grouse Glen Turret Distillery (plenty of parking) at 10.30am, giving time for coffee first for those who wish, and returning for lunch in the restaurant which is booked for 1.30.

Having had a very pleasant walk starting at The Famous Grouse Distillery just outside Crieff in autumn a year ago, we thought we would return there for our Christmas walk and lunch this year. The menu can be found on the Wild Thyme at Glenturret website at http://www.wildethymeatglenturret.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Festive... and the cost is £18 for two courses, £22 for three. There is no need to choose in advance but we do have to confirm numbers with the restaurant. Therefore Lottie would be very grateful if you could send an email directly to her as soon as possible to let her know if you are planning to come. Below is the walk description from autumn 2014. Should be weather be inclement, obviously the walk will be amended! And if you decide not to walk but join us for lunch it will be lovely to see you!

9k/2.5 hours The distillery opens at 10am so there will be time for coffee before the start of the walk. For information on finding the distillery see http://experience.thefamousgrouse.com/visit-our-distillery/opening-hours/ The walk is a varied circuit near Crieff taking in the Glenturret Distillery, Crieff parks, Lady Mary’s Walk, the banks of the River Earn, and Laggan Hill which is a fine viewpoint. The walk is on clear paths, tracks and minor roads with a gentle climb up to Laggan Hill and then an undulating section through fields which may be muddy in places.
