This is a circular walk from Brig o’ Turk following forestry and cycle tracks along the south side of Loch Venachar, ascending to a small lochan and then climbing steeply on a rough path to a viewpoint. The path descends to Loch Drunkie before rejoining the cycle path.
Maureen writes: The walk is approximately nine miles long and should take about 4 hours to complete allowing for coffee and lunch stops. The short steep section of the walk up to the viewpoint is over rough ground made more difficult by the height of the ferns. All other paths are good but walking shoes or boots are recommended especially after or in wet weather. There is a picnic spot beside the small lochan, so please bring a packed lunch.
This walk will start from Brig o’ Turk tearoom car park at 10.30 am on Thursday 28th August.
